Introduce key spatial language and movement concepts with our Year 1 Summer Block 3: Geometry – Position and Direction resources. This short but focused unit helps children describe position and direction with increasing confidence using turns and positional language.

Aligned with the National Curriculum for mathematics, the lessons support pupils to use vocabulary such as whole turn, half turn, quarter turn and three-quarter turn, and apply this understanding to practical tasks.
