Year 3/4 mixed-age scheme, rivers and mountains resources, Year 3/4 Geography scheme of work
Glorious Geography is an effective and easy-to-teach Geography scheme of work from Reception to the end of year 6, with lots of hands-on, practical and engaging elements. Full national curriculum coverage.
How to use our mixed-age Geography scheme of work:
For schools with mixed age classes, we have adapted the scheme so that the Year 3 and Year 4 blocks can be used on a two-year cycle.
In the first year of the cycle, all pupils in Year 3 and 4 will follow the Cycle A blocks of lessons.
In the second year, all pupils in Year 3 and 4 will follow the Cycle B blocks of lessons.
This ensures that children do not repeat any of the blocks during KS2.
Geography Scheme | Year 3/4 | Cycle B | Block 2: On Top of the World | Lesson 2: How do People Use Mountains? is the second lesson in cycle B, block 2 for Year 3/4 and covers rivers and mountains. The blocks are designed to be taught in order, but can be re-ordered according to your own school curriculum.
